| KCOCA | Nigel Scott and Hamish Dowell demonstrate the 'haka' Joanna Sumpter and David Ferrier look at some old school photos. In 1980 the 1976 year group were joined in their final year by the first 15 girls to attend King's.
If the fun of the 25 Years on Reunion in 2001 is any measure then they all must have had a great year!
Stirred on by David FERRIER, Jeremy ASHCROFT and Peter MEADOWCROFT nearly 80 old collegians, including Linley HINDMARSH (who travelled from Sydney), Caren CAMPBELL, Nicki BUTT, Joanna SUMPTER and Sarah REEVES, and their partners renewed acquaintances, recalled old memories and celebrated their '25 Years On' in style.
Following an informal gathering on the Friday night the group began their Saturday reunion with a short tour of the College followed by a Chapel Service where Headmaster John Taylor welcomed everyone back to King's. The Old Collegians' Pavilion was the venue for the evening, which began with drinks after which a sumptuous buffet dinner followed. After the main course MC David Ferrier entertained with some hilarious recollections and he was followed well in to the night by anyone who had a story to tell.
Finally Executive Officer David English had to 'pull rank' to conclude a most enjoyable evening.
Year Group Reunions Each year the KCOCA is happy to arrange year group reunions to celebrate 15, 25, 40 and 50 years after beginning at King's. In addition a reunion for those who were at King's 60 years ago is held each year.

Annual Reunion and Old Collegian of the Year Award The 1st of June has been selected for the KCOCA Annual Reunion to be held in the Centra Auckland. Rob WADDELL (School 88-91) has agreed to be the guest speaker and old collegians are welcome to attend.

The Executive Committee believe, because Rob Waddell is such a renowned speaker as well as an Olympic Gold medallist, world champion, Halberg Award winner and member of Team NZ, that demand for places will be at a premium. Old collegians therefore are encouraged to make their booking early. As in the past group table bookings for 10 are being taken and so get a group together and have a really good night out.
In order to make the ticket price for younger old collegians the ticket price of $75 will be discounted to $55 for those who left King's in 1990 or later. The evening will begin with a cash bar at 6.30pm. This will be followed by a three course dinner with wine at the table which is included in the ticket price.
Another highlight of the Reunion will be the presentation of the Old Collegian of the Year Award.
